What makes Fort Zumwalt special is the variety. The park is free to visit, parking is easy, and you won’t run into crowds like you might at more touristy locations.

Dardenne Prairie Park: Wide Open Spaces

About 30 minutes from Pizazz Ballroom, Creve Coeur Lake offers something different: water. The park has walking trails, bridges, and gazebos. The gazebo near the water is particularly photogenic. Parking is ample, and the park is well-maintained. It’s more popular than Fort Zumwalt, so expect a bit more foot traffic on weekends.

The best feature is the mature trees that create natural shade and interesting light patterns. For a quick 30-minute portrait session between ceremony and reception, Stratmann is perfect.

Powder Valley Nature Preserve: Woodland Romance

About 20 minutes from O’Fallon, Powder Valley offers wooded trails, open areas, and a peaceful atmosphere. It’s less touristy than Creve Coeur or the Botanical Garden, which means fewer crowds and a more intimate feel.

Highway 94 Corridor: Scenic Drives and Historic Towns
